  • Rugged, reliable and standards-compliant
  • Isolation voltages of up to 6000V

Flex Power Modules introduces new families of miniature DC-DC converters for industrial applications: the PUA-A, PUC-B and PUB-M. The new devices are all isolating converters providing output power of up to 1W, with no minimum load required, and are reliable and rugged enough to withstand harsh industrial environments.

PUA-A

  • Mean time between failures (MTBF): 13.1 million hours (Mh)
  • Efficiency: 84%
  • Input-to-output isolation voltage: 2000V
  • Operating temperature range: -40°C to 100°C

The PUA-A is a SIP4 device, measuring 11.5 x 6 x 10mm (0.45 x 0.23 x 0.36in).

 PUC-B

  • Mean time between failures (MTBF): 15Mh
  • Efficiency: 80%
  • Input-to-output isolation voltage: 6000V
  • Operating temperature range: -40°C to 100°C

The PUC-B is housed in a SIP7 package, measuring 19.7 x 7.1 x 11.5mm (0.78 x 0.28 x 0.45in)

PUB-M

  • Mean time between failures (MTBF): 17.9Mh
  • Efficiency: 81%
  • Input-to-output isolation voltage: 3000V
  • Operating temperature range: -40°C to 110°C

The PUB-M is a surface-mount device (SMD) with dimensions of 12.75 x 11.2 x 6.6mm (0.5 x 0.441 x 0.26in) for the single-output variant, and 15.25 x 11.2 x 6.6mm (0.6 x 0.441 x 0.26in) for the dual-output version.

Olle Hellgren, Director of Product Management and Business Development at Flex Power Modules, said: “These new DC-DC converters further expand our family of products for the industrial sector, all of which achieve high standards of performance, efficiency and reliability. We offer our industrial customers a diverse range of solutions – meaning they can find the right product, whatever their application.”

All devices include output short-circuit protection, to avoid damage and are safety compliant to EN/UL 62368-1. Flex Power Modules is an ISO 9001/14001 certified supplier.
