TT Electronics Launches Power Supply For Medical Applications

The highly-efficient PPWAM150 AC-DC power supply offers a great power density

TT Electronics, a global provider of engineered electronics for performance-critical applications, has released its medical and ITE approved power supply, the PPWAM150.

With an industry-leading power density, the device offers a power supply of 150W with 92 per cent efficiency. This enables it to deliver highly-efficient medical grade AC-DC power solutions to meet the growing demands of OEMs worldwide.

Meets certification standards

With up to eight output voltage options, from 12VDC to 54VDC, the PPWAM150 series offers a 100W convection rating with 10 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM). The series meets Class B requirements (>10 dB margin) and radiated emissions limits. It also adheres to DoE Level VI requirements and is certified to UL, IEC and CE standards.

“The PPWAM150 is an important addition to our already extensive medical power supply portfolio,” said Susan Cervanek, Director of Sales at TT Electronics and responsible for TT’s Power Partners brand. “Our medical OEM customers facilitate patient health and well-being, which makes reliability and unsurpassed high-power density top priorities. This ultra-compact solution fits the bill on a global scale.”

The PPWAM150 is suitable for type BF applied part applications, such as surgical ablation devices, blood pressure monitors, incubators and ultrasound equipment.

The device is available in open frame, U-channel or enclosed formats in a small 2×3 inch (5×7 cm) package.

TT Electronics will showcase the new PPWAM150 series next week at the MD&M West 2020 in Anaheim, California.
