Ideal for protecting active components from distortion or potentially damaging reflected power

DiTom Microwave, the designer and manufacturer of high quality connectorised ferrite isolators and circulators for the space and defense markets, has introduced the D3C2731Q, a single junction, 5G circulator model. It covers Ka-band frequencies of 27 to 31 GHz with 0.6 dB of insertion loss, preserving precious power in the mmWave bands.

Specifications

  • Average power handing is 5W (30W peak).
  • Operating temperatures from -20 to +65 degrees C.
  • Typical isolation is 20 dB.
  • Power rating is 37dBm.

The D3C2731Q is offered with 2.4 mm female connectors having a maximum VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) of 1.25:1 and are available with any combination of male or female connectors on the input/output. 2.92 mm (K) connectors are also an option.

These circulators are suitable for in-box applications or bench-top testing applications. The isolator body measures 0.5 x 0.7” and weighs only 0.9 ounces.
