Small is only the package, but the functions are powerful

Code Mercenaries introduces the IO-Warrior28, a new addition to the popular USB I/O controller family.

With 19 generic digital I/O pins it is currently the smallest in the IO-Warrior family.

Like all IO-Warrior chips it does support HD44780 compatible display modules. In addition to that it has a fast IIC master with data rates from 10 kHz up to 1 MHz.

A 4 channel A/D converter with 12 bits allows true voltage measurement thanks to an internal bandgap reference with ±10 mV accuracy.

Key Features

  • Full speed USB (12 MBit/s, 1000 reports/s)
  • A/D sample rate up to 30 kHz
  • IIC master, 10, 50, 100, 400, 1000 kHz
  • High performance due to separate USB endpoints for IIC and ADC

Availability

IO-Warrior28 is available as QFN28 chip or DIL 28 module.

By using system drivers the installation of drivers is not necessary on all widespread operating systems. Sample code, tools, and libraries are available for Linux, MacOS and Windows.
