RPC-UP – ultra high power pulse withstanding chip resistors, ideal for using in variety of applications along with pulse handling requirements.

Stackpole Electronics launches RPC-UP ultra high power pulse withstanding chip resistors. This RPC-UP chip resistor is available in a 0.5 watt rated 0805 size and a 0.75 watt 1206 size chip.

RPC-UP is same as RPC when it comes to maintaining excellent pulse handling, but it also provides great power handling which allows its use in different variety of application along with pulse handling requirements which would generally require a larger chip. Chip resistors of this series provides low tolerance of about 0.5% and TCR of 200 ppm and 100 ppm depending on resistance value. By adding RPC-UP to RPC-HP high power pulse withstanding series it offers high power handling for sizes from 0603 through 2010.

Stackpole has added the RPC-HP high power version for select sizes as follows:

  • RPC0603…-HP for values up to 294 ohms the power rating is 0.125W
  • RPC0603…-HP for values 300 ohms and up the power rating is 0.2W
  • RPC1206…-HP all values the power rating is 0.5W
  • RPC2010…-HP all values the power rating is 1W

Price of RPC-UP series in full package quantities ranges from $0.021 to $0.084.
