9th Gen Intel Core i9-9900K is priced at $488 and is compatible with Intel 300 Series chipset motherboards
Famous for developing and manufacturing computer processors, Intel announced the launch of 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9900K gaming chip. The company is claiming the chip to be the best in the world today. Two other 9th Gen Intel Core processors were also a part of the launch.
Anand Srivatsa, vice president and general manager, desktop, systems and channel, within the client computing group at Intel in the press release issued by the company said, “Our goal is to deliver leadership performance across all computing segments and product lines. Today’s announcements underscore our ability to do exactly that, including, hands-down, the world’s best processor for gaming. Whether a gamer, a creator or an expert using the most advanced workstation applications possible, Intel and our partners are focused on delivering balanced platforms with real-world leadership performance and robust capabilities that exceed their needs.”
Intel said that the new 9th Gen Intel Core processors – i9-9900K, i7-9700K and i5-9600 offer 16 MB Intel Smart Cache, up to 5.0 GHz single-core turbo frequency2 and up to 8 cores and 16 threads. The press release said that the new Intel gaming chips will help gamers in enabling more than 220 FPS on popular gaming titles including Rainbow Six: Siege, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite and PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds.
The new 9th Gen Intel Core chips, as per the press release also enable improved and faster video editing. Intel claims up to 34 per cent faster editing in comparison to the previous generation, and up to 97 per cent faster video editing in comparison to three year old PCs. The overall system improvement, going by the same press release improved by up to 15 per cent compared to the previous generation of Intel core chips.
Full potential through new Intel Z390 chipset
Intel claims that users can unlock the full potential of its new generation chips using the newly launched Intel Z390 chipset. It comes integrated with Intel® Wireless-AC and included high-speed integrated USB 3.1 Gen 2. However, the 9th Gen Intel Core processors are configured to be compatible with all Intel® 300 Series chipset motherboards.
