RFMW announced a new single channel rotary joint intended for transmitting RF energy from a stationary RF source to a rotating RF line. Example applications include military and commercial markets such as mobile satellite communication systems, radar systems including civil air traffic control, weather radars or anywhere rotational force might damage a transmission line.

The miniature 345C from API Technologies features small size and weight, and operates from DC to 18GHz using SMA coaxial connectors. VSWR is as low as 1.02:1. In addition, this rotary joint can handle upto five amps of DC current and up to 500 watts peak or 100 watts average power. Rotation rating is 100RPM.

Furthermore, the product is designed for MIL-E-5400 Class II. Weatherized versions include 345W, 345C and 345F.
