Mini-ITX Board Features Latest Intel Chips For Faster Processing & Improved Graphics

ADLINK Technology introduced a compact embedded computing board specially designed for users requiring higher processing speeds and improved graphics performance. The board equips high-performance, low-power 6th generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3 processors and Intel Q170/H110 chipsets in a Mini-ITX form factor, and offers up to 32 GB of memory for infotainment, industrial, and medical applications.

Featuring the Mini-ITX form factor, the AmITX-SL-G board measures only 170 mm square and approximately 35 mm thick, making it ideal for a self-service kiosk, on-display mount, stand-alone gaming system, etc. By following a consistent layout for connector and pinout locations, the embedded board also allows easy upgrades with no need to modify the enclosure or cabling.

Over previous models, the new product doubles the memory capacity while reducing the footprint. The 6th gen Intel Core i7/i5/i3 processor supports up to 32 GB of dual channel non-ECC DDR4 memory at 1867 MHz. Improved features using the Intel Q170 and H110 chipsets and HD Iris Pro graphics include faster 3D imaging and video conferencing, ultra HD/4K resolution across three display ports for medical-grade images, and low-power transcoding for HEVC/H.265, VP8, VP9, and VDENC formats, claims the company.

The AmITX-SL-G features three DisplayPorts, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, USB 3.0 ports, USB 2.0 ports, SATA 6 Gb/s ports, and High Definition Audio with 7.1 channels. Expansion is provided by one PCIe x16, one PCIe x1, and two mini-PCIe slots. The onboard feature connector provides GPIO, SMBus, and I2C support.

Security capabilities of the Intel Q170 and H110 chipsets include new AES instructions, faster encryption, and the Intel Software Guard Extension and Memory Protection.

The board connects seamlessly to the Smart Embedded Management Agent (SEMA) Cloud, allowing operators to monitor board parameters including temperature, voltage, power consumption, and other key information remotely in real-time, to prevent failures and minimise downtime.
