2-6GHz Amplifier Offers Small Size And High Linearity

Custom MMIC has unveiled a wideband 2-6 GHz GaAs MMIC driver amplifier ideally suited for military, space and communications systems where small size and high linearity are needed.

Key features of the CMD231 include high gain, single positive supply voltage, low current consumption, and small die size. Operating from a +3 to +6V supply, the device delivers greater than 14.5 dB of gain at 4GHz with a corresponding output 1 dB compression point of +13.5 dBm and an output IP3 of 23.5 dBm.

The amplifier is a 50 ohm matched design, which eliminates the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching, and it offers full passivation for increased reliability and moisture protection.
