WiFi Radio Chip Enables Fast Lane WiFi 


Amp’ed RF Wireless Technology announced a WiFi dual band single-chip solution. The Amp’ed RF Connectivity Controller, ACC1340, is a perfect solution for audio, video and Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

The chip offers dual band support in both 2.4 and 5GHz frequencies providing a balanced approach to supporting WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n protocols. Further, a feature of Packet Traffic Arbitration, PTA, supports coexistence with Bluetooth radios in the 2.4GHz band.

Dual band allows for excellent reception in crowded environments with high population density areas such as apartment complexes, office buildings and transport hubs.”

The ACC1340 features low energy consumption, fast speed and a clean design. Its complete feature set offers the right amount of integration options, allowing for fewer external components and faster time to market. This is great for manufacturers of Wi-Fi enabled products who wish to seamlessly stream audio, video or Internet data.

Key specifications of the chip include STA, Soft AP, Wi-Fi Direct, and HotSpot 2.0. It also supports concurrent mode STA and Soft AP.
