Swiss drive specialist Maxon motor has launched a new servo controller for DC motors of up to 750 W. The ESCON Module 50/8 HE (Harsh Environment) is designed to work even in the harshest ambient conditions.
The ESCON Module 50/8 HE is a compact plug-in module with a nominal current of 8 A. It is a true powerhouse, says the firm, and designed for brushed and brushless DC motors with a peak power of up to 750 W.
A noteworthy feature of the new product is that it performs reliably at ambient temperatures from -40 to +92 °C. The electronics are protected against contaminants and corrosion by a polymer coating. Even silicones and lubricant oils do not stick. In addition, the device is highly resistant against vibrations and shocks, claims the firm.
The new ESCON Module 50/8 HE has numerous configurable digital inputs and outputs and is easy and intuitive to set up using the ESCON Studio software.
The module is available in two versions, with and without a heat sink. For more information, click here.
