High-Linearity Power Amplifier Targets LTE Small Cells

RFMW announced a high-linearity 2.01 to 2.17GHz power amplifier targeted for small cell or enterprise Femtocell basestation applications, distributed antenna systems (DAS), repeaters, and/or booster amplifiers.

The TQP9221 provides 30dB of gain over 2.01 to 2.17GHz and is internally matched for design ease while drawing 225mA from a 4.5V supply.

The amplifier integrates two high performance amplifier stages onto a module to allow for a compact system design and requires very few external components for operation.

The device is available with on-chip bias control and temperature compensation circuits. Bias adjustment allows the amplifier’s power consumption to be optimized.

The amplifier is available in a lead-free/RoHS-compliant 7 x 7 mm surface mount package.
